Current Openings

Duties: 
– Prepare briefs, legal memoranda, or statements of issues involved in cases;
– Research laws, court decisions, documents, opinions, briefs, or other information related to cases;
– Respond to questions from customers on general legal issues;
– Assist with affidavits, correspondence, organize and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems;
– Manage workflow and project deadlines while working directly with lawyers and clients;
– Assist attorney in preparation of materials, research, and analyses for legal matters;
– Gather and analyze research data.

Hours: The candidate will work full-time, 5 days a week, 40 hours a week

Rate of pay: $53000.00 – $55000.00/year.

Role Description

This is a role for an Immigration Associate Attorney. The attorney will provide legal counsel on immigration matters, prepare and file applications, attend hearings and interviews, and ensure compliance with immigration regulations. Additional responsibilities include drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and maintaining client communication to address any concerns and updates with professionalism.

Qualifications

  • J.D. or L.L.M. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in New York
  • Strong communication skills
  • Desire to learn new things
    Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines
    Ukrainian/Russian is preferred
  • Prior experience in an immigration law firm or practice is preferred
